Cedar Road School

Artworks at The National Gallery

I have some very exciting news! The jungle artwork and puppets made by children from Cedar Road Primary School, and children at Abington Library art sessions last year, will be exhibited as part of The National Gallery's Take One Picture Exhibition. The work will be on display in Trafalgar Square this summer. The artwork was inspired by a Henri Rousseau painting from 1891 of a tiger in a jungle scene, called 'Surprised'. So well done to all of you who were involved and to the parent and adult helpers.

The exhibition is free and will be from the 1st of August to the 1st September. Please see the link below for further details and for other events The National Gallery are hosting this summer for children. Also, the tiger puppet from our artwork is being used as part of the galleries website and marketing!
